Currently Showing: Cicada Books Exhibition

Mayapple currently is showcasing unique, handmade artwork by Sage Billig and Ben Buonaiuto of Cicada Books. Sage and Ben use a combination of traditional materials and found objects, discarded bits of everyday life, made beautiful  by age and wear and given a chance to been seen in a new way. Each piece is created by hand, starting with sheets of paper and board, shelves of found objects, our own photography, silk binding cords, copper rivets and hand tools.

Call for Artists

As part of the Mayapple mission to support local artists, our gallery is available to interested artists who would like to show and sell their work. We encourage you to contact us if you are looking for a venue to display your work. We are looking for fine art photographs, paintings, mixed media, as well as original jewelry and accessories. We host receptions to launch collections, and all money made from work sold goes directly to the artist(s).
